An update for anyone following my offering
to house some refugees:
I have one family arriving tonight
They are on their way to Portugal
Their husband/father stayed behind
and is not able to leave. He is defending their country
Wunder-voll! Blessings to all those that enter your doors
Any spark of light is welcome, any greeting essential
My soul puppy. I can't stop crying
Creamy, dreamy matcha-infused vegan white chocolate swirled into transparently traded dark chocolate.
Breaking: the number of refugees fleeing Ukraine has surpassed 1 million
I don't know if I'll ever get back
We spend so much time preparing for the world and then...pfffft
Or, if we're lucky... ...pffft (two ellipses!)
Write through doubt
Discover pure sleep bliss in our handcrafted mattresses
Here’s my latest anti-suicide poem:
köfte with rice and garlic-sumac yogurt sauce
(my hands were guided)
I painted for two days and through the night
I’m taking it over (still wet!) to the gallery
We are sun wowing with the feckless treasure of the Sierra Madre
Good morning sound waves
We are in Baja Sur. I turn into water here
with Love flying round us
I’m thinking and praying for friends in Ukraine
while repacking rice into ziplock bags
We will take these to Afghan families relocated to our area
No, this is not Shirley Temple. I’m 2 years old
My mother owned a beauty parlor in Norway
found a wig. Enough said
Moon jellyfish - a reminder to myself when told, by others or by me
that somethings are impossible
Leeks, garlic, cubanelle pepper
the last of the kale, sliced thin and sauteed with leeks etc
slices of vegetarian italian sausage
cannellini beans
marinara sauce
Brussels sprouts on the side
red wine
So if we don't Explode before summer, i'm going to Marry in july
June or July, but there's an exception if serendipity materializes
Hello ancient Ukrainian bridge. This should be fun
Acrylic, pumice, quartz sand, pencil on torn and layered
heavyweight watercolor paper
Ariel the Cat, the Lion of God looked so stressed
He observed me cleaning Jack's bedroom
I said to him:
Ariel, Jack is in the hospital, you have to help him
Ariel said
Dear Albina. May I sing softly in whispers to Jack? Something like
"Accept my warmth and the music of my breath”
But which? Cayenne? Turmeric? Cinnamon? Asafoetida? A circular recipe — you have to know how to cook borscht to know what spice should be mixed. It's kind of lovely
So when do the good guys get to win?
It’s only 40 days until we rise again. Send me your address EXACTLY
as it should appear on a customs form & i will mail you a care package
Also i love you. Ok. There’s an urgency about this
a strong will to do something, but mustn’t rush
As Saturday rises against the imperialist war against Ukraine
I post this photo of myself collecting cow dung
in the Goan village where i live
$1000/month for rent tops with someone
who is not insane; tidy but not draconian; fun to chat with
Myself - early seventies, somewhere cold. I'm wordless
Welcome, El Ghost who walks

A forgiven Sunday, or a raw Sunday
This family, Tatiana, Maria and Roma are moving on to their next safe stop
playing princesses and lovingly collecting stones by the river
Sleep like a floating mermaid in our Daughters of Triton Sleep Set
Our organic denim is ready for any adventure
There has never been a better time to upgrade your socks
Spend $50 on self-caring good vibes and get $10 off
For the last three days I have woken to roses
pulled out of the garbage for me. It’s only slightly adorable
Paczki
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons or 1 packet yeast
3/4 cup milk (whole)
Sunday and it is raining
meat flowers. Those salami roses are killing me
The freedoms in super lunchabables
We have to continually fight and not give up
I worked on Friday, just a bit and revised
a rushnyk, a ritual cloth embroidered
with symbols and cryptograms of the ancient world
Buttered cabbage, smoke-salted and peppered, a bit of white wine, some coriander seeds, some mustard seeds, cardamom powder, cooked under foil then opened to brown with some grated cheese on top.
Seven varieties of tomatoes in
Blackberries in, peach and fig trees yesterday
And the milk-white toothed polypore
The immediacy of the war is conditioned by thoughts of nuclear war
one of my childhood’s governing nightmares
When the threat of mutual destruction was supposed to reassure us
I feel extremely excited. I have many feelings
about my disaster-porn predisposition
I've found this soldier last summer on the beach
when I was picking up garbage
I've brought him to my house
painted him with acrylic and drew flowers on his clothes
So I disarmed the soldier and ended the war on the coast
You can believe in it or not, but Odessa is quiet
Then he said: “Saint Etienne. When we travel next time, we should go to Saint Etienne”. Yes, when we travel, we should go to Saint Etienne
The moon reflected in water, a tiny piece for peace
You were thinking post-modern, but no. It's clearly post-preparatory
I am thinking Riesling, as I'm low on whites, but a sturdy French red such as this Clos du Caillou might work
Got my copy of Knocked Down and a tiara today
thinking about Jagermeister, Bernie Sanders, the Dodgers and the blues
I never thought marching bass drum would prepare me
to carry out the pack of an injured hiker
The collective 'abstract', which I have the pleasure of being part of
Among the negatives spaces for these lifelines, lifetimes
Madness rises from the ground

Spring in spite of everything
The morning is cotton candy on fire
Wait.... whose parking spot did I just take?
Late winter: Seven melancholy nights
Poems out of fire in the desert
Two sets of great-grandparents were from Ukraine, including Mariupol
They were Jews and they left for freedom and safety from the Czar
(and conscription in the Russian Army) to come to America
FINALLY, the everyday bra, perfected
Glad to talk about both
Refusenik & I’ve Had To Think Up a Way to Survive without Solar
and these new migration patterns
Would you show up at your airport
with a sign saying you have a room in your home
for a person or family fleeing Ukraine?
That is what is happening in Berlin right now
No eyes are closed and no babies are crying
Sleeping with our eyes open tonight
Feeling all of it through
painstaking experimentation and careful scientific testing
Moms in Poland left their baby strollers in railroad stations
for the Ukrainian moms that fled carrying their children
I imagine that some of you are already moving on past
these excruciating headlines
On this snowy day in the world
sometimes it is good to have someone read to you

Due to the crisis in Ukraine there might be some delay in shipping
I had forgotten they were located in Ukraine
I messaged them not to worry about sending the item
if it wasn't possible, but to keep the money and to stay safe
They replied, " Hello dear friend! Thank you very much for your support!
We are safe at the moment and we can send your order”

Floating in her concert gown
her cello floating above, thin as a rail, as ever
There is no proper farewell
for someone who floats in our memory
and no room for goodbyes. I knew her only as
a mermaid, a cat woman, but above all
and the reason we met, as a biblical scholar
Iconic and mystic as the 500 million year old portal
